HI!!! I am Riddhima Bhosale from class VII Iris. This is review about the book
“EARTHQUAKE BOY”
The Earthquake Boy Book Review
Written by Leela Gour Broome. I loved the way the author described about the boy
in the beginning of the book.
His struggles at the hospital and the hurt he got on his head. It was like an adventure for me.
A book full of Life, Adventure and Adjectives. I liked the concept of “Bey Naam” which was
then changed to Binna.
The boy travelling to different cities like MUMBAI and PUNE..... I also liked the welcoming
song which the four people sang for Binna.. It was really a heart warming story about a
homeless boy roaming around in big cities and fighting all the problems that came
in his way to home... He was alone at the beginning but eventually made friends and
was finally home!!!! It was a fantastic book to read!!
Thanks for such a lovely book.....
THANK YOU Riddhima Bhosale, for your super review!
Look out for my next book too! Cheers!

What a lovely surprise....
When I first opened the crisp, fresh pages
of the Earthquake Boy by Leela Gour Broome,
I was already intrigued. Since I
had read all her previous books, I got ready to read her
unique style of
capturing nature at it’s finest.
However, I was pleasantly surprised. This
book has a way of making you hang on to
every word and feel every emotion just
like the protagonist. It began with a prologue
that gripped the reader and
carried on with the protagonist’s narration. All the way,
you almost live
Binna’s (the hero) life as you meet new characters, plot twists
as well as
heart-warming and terrifying episodes alike. Spunky Binna is one of those
unique characters that inspire you with the way they face every challenge
especially
because they have been crafted by the author in such a way that they
are also humble
and lovable. You see the adversity and poverty from an angle
never imagined.
The book is one without illustrations, but
it creatively paints a beautiful world in your mind
by its vivid descriptions. I loved the book all the way through but there are two things
that struck me the most. These two
things being the friendships that Binna formed and
the way his memory loss
provided to be the biggest obstacle.
Moving, funny and heart- warming this
story is one to truly be read not only by the eyes
but also by the heart.
